Dental Microscope

We have invested in the latest technology and dental microscopy for our patients.

Dental microscopy, also known as dental operating microscope (DOM), is a tool used in dentistry for micro-endodontics. It allows for enhanced precision and accuracy in root canal treatments. The magnification and improved illumination provided by the microscope allow for better visualization of dental anatomy and detection of small canals. This leads to more thorough treatment and reduces the risk of complications.

Two Digital X-ray and CBCT Machines

In our dental practice we have two x-ray machines. One is capable of giving 2D digital x-rays (Dentsply Sirona Orthophos E), while the other is a 3D x-ray, namely a CBCT (Cone Beam Computerized Tomography) machine (Newtom Go 3D) with which we use a process called Digital Volume Tomography (DVT) to capture 3D images of your bone structure. This helps us see sensitive parts of your oral health, like blood vessels and nerves, so we can navigate around them during treatment. With this technology, we can plan precise and minimally invasive procedures for you.

3D Intraoral Scanners

At MosDent Dental Hospital, we have two intraoral scanners, one Denstply Sirona Omnicam and the other again from Dentsply Sirona, but the latest model Primescan. These 3D intraoral scanners offer numerous benefits in taking impressions of our patients. Firstly, they provide a much more comfortable experience for patients compared to traditional methods. Instead of having to endure the uncomfortable sensation of having bulky trays filled with impression material in their mouths, patients only need to have a small, handheld scanner placed inside their mouths. This significantly reduces discomfort and anxiety during the impression process, resulting in a more pleasant overall dental visit.

Moreover, digital 3D intraoral scanners offer remarkable speed and accuracy. With traditional methods, the process of taking impressions can be time-consuming and prone to errors. However, digital scanners utilize advanced technology to capture highly detailed 3D images of the patient's teeth and gums in a matter of minutes. This not only saves time for both the patient and the dentist but also ensures precise and accurate impressions.

Cerec Primemill

We also have a dedicated Computer Aided Machine (CAM) to mill and grind crowns in-house. The Cerec Primemill machine from Dentsply Sirona allows us to restore your crowns in as little as 5 to 15 minutes, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and CAM strategies.
