Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy

Personal data retention periods and destruction principles under Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

Purpose and Scope

This policy sets out the principles for the retention and destruction of personal data processed by Mosdent Oral and Dental Health Hospital, within the framework of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and related secondary legislation.

Retention Periods

Retention periods for personal data processed at Mosdent are determined according to relevant legislation and data categories as follows:

  • Patient records (medical) · 15 years (Ministry of Health Regulation)
  • Invoice records · 10 years (Tax Procedure Law)
  • Job applications · 6 months (in case of rejection) / 2 years (for accepted)
  • Marketing consents · Until explicit consent is withdrawn
  • Security camera recordings · 30 days
  • Website logs · 6 months

Destruction Methods

Personal data whose retention period has expired or whose processing purpose has ceased are destroyed using the following methods within the framework of the periodic destruction schedule:

  • Physical data · Destruction with industrial paper shredder
  • Electronic data · Irreversible deletion with secure erasure software
  • Database records · Anonymization or deletion
  • Backups · Destruction within data center protocols

Periodic Destruction

Periodic destruction operations are carried out every 6 months. Destruction operations are performed under the supervision of the KVKK compliance officer and a destruction record is kept.
