Will there be pain during my treatment?
You can be sure that I will do everything I can so that you feel little or no pain during the procedures I perform.

Dt. Hakan Kaval is one of the two founders of Mosdent. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1991 and, one year later, established Mosdent in Bahçelievler together with Dr. Ömer Faruk Şarkbay.
Born in Istanbul in 1968, he completed his primary and middle school education at Kültür College and his secondary education at Bahçelievler High School. After graduating he worked as a research assistant in the Endodontics department of Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1991-1992, then continued his career in Bahçelievler.
Across thirty-four years of clinical practice, he has specialised in implantology, aesthetic dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation. His treatment philosophy is personalised: each guest's lifestyle, age and facial proportions inform the starting point of every plan.
He deepened his implantology training early on with the Ankylos implantology certificate he earned in 1996, and has kept up his professional development through regular participation in international congresses, making continuing education a defining part of Mosdent's institutional culture.

Infection-related tooth and gum problems do not fully heal until the cause of the infection (an infected pulp, tartar and so on) has been removed.
One of my patients was so afraid of treatment that an examination was not even possible. I patiently completed the treatments and helped that fear come to an end; the case was finished with a fixed implant-supported prosthesis.
A patient with a gag reflex could not start treatment. By earning the patient's trust and showing that a gag reflex is not an unchangeable personal trait, I kept the time instruments spend in the mouth to a minimum and completed the treatment. In the end my patient gained both health and self-confidence.
Yes, it has happened. When an extraction has been wrongly indicated, I steer my patients toward the right treatment so they do not lose their teeth; most of the time that is a properly performed root canal.
And I do not recommend aesthetic prosthetic work to patients, especially young ones, who want beautiful teeth as quickly as possible while skipping the orthodontic treatment they actually need.

“For me the real aim of treatment is to benefit my patient; that benefit may be health-related, economic, aesthetic or psychological.”

This guide also explains waiting times, temporary teeth, same-day loading, treatment factors that may change the plan and what can affect the cost for international patients.
Medically ReviewedFind out how impacted wisdom tooth removal is planned, what happens on the day, how recovery progresses, and when pain or swelling may indicate a complication.
Medically ReviewedAll-on-4 and All-on-6 both support a fixed full-arch implant bridge. The right choice depends on bone volume and position, bite forces, prosthetic design, health risks and long-term maintenance, not on implant count alone.
