There is no evidence-based universal winner between Invisalign, Orthero and ClearCorrect. Published research is strongest for Invisalign, while a recent pilot study found that different brands produced different plans for the same patients (PubMed 41128735). The more useful question is which system suits your case, how the plan is checked, what refinements are included and how follow-up is managed.
If you are comparing Invisalign, Orthero and ClearCorrect, you are not alone. Many patients search for the “best clear aligner brand” before arranging treatment, but brand comparisons are often based mainly on manufacturers’ own descriptions. A more useful approach is to separate verifiable product information from clinical evidence, then ask which system and treatment plan are suitable for your teeth.
If you want an introduction to the treatment itself, see our clear aligner treatment page. The decision between fixed braces and clear aligners is a separate topic, covered in our guide to braces or clear aligners.

These details describe products and company structures. They do not prove that one brand produces better clinical outcomes. Material names, manufacturing locations and package contents are appropriate subjects for manufacturer information, but clinical claims require independent research.
/ Invisalign: the most extensively studied name
Invisalign is Align Technology’s clear aligner system. Because it entered the market early and became widely recognised, people sometimes use “Invisalign” to mean clear aligner treatment in general. The broader treatment category is clear aligner therapy.
The Invisalign system includes several Align Technology products and trademarks, including ClinCheck planning software, iTero intraoral scanning, SmartTrack aligner material and Vivera retainers. Its main distinction in a brand comparison is not simply the product name, but the larger volume of published research associated with the system.
A systematic review found that evidence-based recommendations for Invisalign were strongest in adults with mild to moderate malocclusion treated without extractions. The review also showed that clinical indications have limits, rather than supporting the idea that clear aligners are suitable for every orthodontic problem (PubMed 30264270). Another study measured the accuracy of planned movement in 401 anterior teeth and found an average accuracy of 41 percent, underlining the difference that can occur between a digital plan and actual tooth movement (PubMed 19121497).
Mosdent currently provides clear aligner treatment using the Invisalign system. Further information about the clinic’s process is available in our Invisalign at Mosdent article.

/ Orthero: an Istanbul-based Turkish brand
Orthero’s official company information places its headquarters at ITU Arı Technokent in Istanbul. The company describes production and dental laboratory facilities in Istanbul, with a second production site in Warsaw. Its material information describes three-layer PET-G, a food-contact-grade material, with active aligners listed as 0.75 mm and Herotain retention aligners as 1.0 mm. The material page states that the aligner material is manufactured in Germany.
Orthero also lists three-dimensional printing, CBCT data integration and, in its higher package, jaw movement data integration through Modjaw. These are manufacturer-described technical features. At the time of this article’s review, independent clinical research showing that these features produce better treatment outcomes was not identified. That does not make the features irrelevant, but it means they should not automatically be treated as proof of superior results.
/ ClearCorrect: a brand within Straumann Group
ClearCorrect was established in the United States and joined Straumann Group in 2017. Today, the ClearCorrect website is connected to Straumann’s digital ecosystem. This ownership is useful context for patients because Straumann is a major dental group with activities across implant and orthodontic products. Our Straumann implant article explains the group’s implant-related structure in more detail.
ClearCorrect describes its aligners as being made from three-layer ClearQuartz material. The manufacturer also makes claims about material design and control of tooth movement, but some supporting information is described as data held in company files rather than an independently published clinical study. The material name can therefore be reported as product information, while claims about better control should be treated cautiously.
/ What package names mean
Brand packages generally divide treatment according to the number of planned stages, the likely complexity of the case and the number of refinement sets available. A refinement is an additional series of aligners made after the first plan does not produce the intended result closely enough.
Invisalign package names such as Moderate, Comprehensive and First are not complete explanations of what an individual quotation includes. The precise terms may depend on the provider agreement and can change over time. Ask the dentists at Mosdent to confirm the planned number of aligners, refinement rights and retention arrangements in writing.
Orthero publishes a more visibly tiered structure. Its listed packages range from shorter plans with a limited number of stages and refinement sets to an Advanced package with unlimited stages and refinements. Other packages identify features such as CBCT and jaw movement integration, while a Mini package is described for children in the mixed dentition stage. The practical lesson is simple: a package name can affect the upper limit of the plan and what happens if additional aligners are needed.
/ What the evidence can and cannot tell you
A meta-analysis of comparative studies found that clear aligner treatment was, on average, 6.31 months shorter than fixed appliance treatment in the included studies, although treatment length depends heavily on case selection and treatment management (PubMed 30674307).
Direct brand comparisons remain limited. In a 2025 pilot study, records from 10 patients were sent to several manufacturers using the same standard prescription. The returned plans differed significantly in aligner numbers, attachment numbers and some planned canine relationships. ClearCorrect proposed the fewest aligners and attachments in that comparison, while another system proposed the most. The study assessed virtual plans, not final clinical outcomes, so it cannot establish a winning brand (PubMed 41128735).
No randomised clinical study directly comparing Orthero and ClearCorrect with Invisalign was identified in the source review for this article. This is a description of the current evidence, not a criticism of any company.
/ Which brand is best for you?
The answer depends on four linked factors: whether clear aligners are appropriate for the diagnosis, whether the digital plan is clinically checked, whether attachments and other planned procedures are carried out properly, and whether the aligners are worn as instructed. The aligner company supplies the material and software, but the treatment plan must still be assessed and managed by an orthodontic professional.
At Mosdent, clear aligner treatment is provided with Invisalign, and treatment decisions are made after an examination rather than by brand preference alone. In some cases, fixed braces may be a more suitable option. Our braces treatment page explains that alternative.
/ What drives the cost
The cost of clear aligner treatment depends on the complexity of the tooth movements, the number of planned stages, the need for attachments or interproximal reduction, the number of refinement sets included and the retention arrangements after active treatment. It can also depend on the level of clinical monitoring, scanning and follow-up included in the treatment plan.
For international patients, clarify what is included before travelling. Ask about the number and timing of appointments, remote follow-up arrangements, additional visits if the plan needs revision, retainers and what happens if treatment takes longer than originally planned. You can review our transparent price list, then confirm the exact scope of treatment after assessment.
/ Six questions to ask before accepting a quotation
- 01How many aligner stages are included, and how many are planned for my case?
- 02Are refinements included, how many are allowed, and are there extra charges?
- 03Are retainers included, and which product will be provided?
- 04Can I see the proposed digital plan before treatment begins?
- 05Will attachments or interproximal reduction be needed, and where?
- 06How often will reviews take place, and what happens if an aligner does not fit as expected?
A written answer to these questions is more informative than a brand name alone. To arrange an assessment, contact us through our contact page or review the Mosdent dentists.
